Birthday Cakes, Me-Made

For my mom’s 50th Birthday this year, I decided to make the cake myself (a first). Actually, we were going to be 40+ people and the cake is becoming so SO costly for all these people. Seriously, yummy cakes in Mauritius make our wallets suffer badly – I dunno why! So there, some websites later, I made my decision of what to do.

  • For the cakes and cupcakes, I bought Moir’s products and for the chocolate ganache, I referred to this website: Recette Ganache Chocolat
  • I learnt how to make piping cones with greaseproof paper from the web and melted white and milk Cadbury chocolate. The designs, I learnt how to make them from this video: Chocolate Cake Deco
  • For the marshmallow pops, this video: Marshmallow Pops

The birthday party was awesome, I’m proud of my doings and most important of all, mom was just *_*. Some pics:
