Orange blossom French toast

8 bread slices
2 beaten eggs
2 cups liquid milk
4 tbsp sugar
1 tsp orange blossom water (fleur d’oranger)
8 (1cm x 1cm) butter cubes
Honey as topping

  1. Hand-whisk: Milk, orange blossom water, sugar and beaten eggs.
  2. Dip one bread slice in the mixture. In the meantime, heat a non-stick pan on medium fire.
  3. Put one cube of butter on the pan, lift the bread slice from the mixture to let the excess drip off and place it on the butter. Let cook for a minute (or two) before turning over. It should brown a little bit on both sides. Remove and repeat process with another bread slice.
  4. Top with honey or icing sugar. Serve hot ^_^

Eating this as breakfast or during afternoon tea time really lifts up my mood to the highest ❤ And it takes less than 30 minutes. Délicieux 🙂

  2. Oh yeah! Sometimes there is a faint egg-smell in the toast. The orange blossom water eliminates that, without being too present as well ^_^
